Reduce Facial Wrinkles with XEOMIN

XEOMIN

There is no magical elixir or fountain of youth that can help individuals to completely turn back the aging process and enjoy an appearance like they had when they were teenagers. However, there are a variety of treatments that can reduce facial wrinkles and address the other signs of aging. XEOMIN® is one such option. It temporarily relaxes the muscles and is specifically designed to help soften or completely eliminate dynamic wrinkles.

As you get older, you are likely to have dynamic wrinkles and static wrinkles. Dynamic wrinkles are caused by the facial expressions that you make again and again throughout your lifetime. They happen because of the way your facial muscles contract and the way your skin gets thinner as you age. Static wrinkles happen because of a loss of facial volume and the fact that your skin does not produce collagen and elastin at the same rate that it did in your younger years. Each type of wrinkle has a specific treatment. XEOMIN® is great for dynamic wrinkles. Dermal fillers are good for static wrinkles. The two types of treatments are not interchangeable. However, you can get powerful results when you combine them.

You can do a small test at home to determine the best wrinkle treatment for you. Look at yourself in the mirror. Where are your wrinkles located? Make a couple of different facial expressions. If you notice that you have deep creases at the corners of your eyes, on your forehead, and in between your brows, it is likely that these are dynamic wrinkles. XEOMIN® is gently injected into the facial muscles in order to relax them. Since they are not able to contract with the same force, it allows your skin to relax and the wrinkles to fade.

Your XEOMIN® treatment session is likely to last 10 to 20 minutes. The first treatment is combined with an initial consultation in order to make sure that this is the right treatment for you. After your session is over, you can get back to work and other normal activities. There is no downtime or recovery.

Our clients do not see a reduction in facial wrinkles right after their XEOMIN® injections are given. It takes some time for the product to begin to show results. This is perfect because it produces results that are natural looking. Most people will see the full results from their treatment about five to seven days from the time the injections were given. They can enjoy the benefits of XEOMIN® for about three or four months. Once the product begins to wear off, a touch up session can be scheduled.

Nothing can completely stop the aging process at this time. However, you can reduce facial wrinkles with XEOMIN®. Contact Dr. DeStephens’ office today to schedule your consultation! We are conveniently located in Gainesville, FL.
